As we know that there are total 7 "Wonders of world" across the whole globe. And all these wonders have their own significance to be counted in this list of wonders of world. And among these wonders, there lies a famous wonder known as "The Taj Mahal" which is located in Agra, India. Almost everyone knows its history and the reason for its formation. Well, Let me remind you again that the Taj Mahal was built in the year 1648 by "Shah Jahan"  in the memory of his beloved wife "Mumtaz Mahal"
Well, this famous monument conceals very mysterious facts in it. As we can see that this monument is very beautiful from the outside and contains a very unique personality in itself but it is not the same as inside.

The mystery of the basement of the Taj Mahal:

Well, most of the people who have visited the Taj Mahal knows that the basement of this monument is closed and hence doesn't allow anyone to go there. But why? well, The reason is not specified for this because it has a very shocking reason behind it which is hiding from the people.

Reasons for concealing the basement:

Well, there are total 22 rooms present in the basement of the Taj Mahal, which is quite shocking to hear and in spite of that, this basement contains more mysterious facts which are more shocking to hear. There are three main reasons behind this mystery which can be concluded from the various resources and all these reasons are EXTREMELY UNBELIEVABLE. so here are these:

1- Firstly, let me tell you an interesting fact regarding this monument. The native people near the Taj Mahal says that before this Taj Mahal was built, there was a Hindu temple present known as "TEJO MAHLAYA- the temple of Lord Shiva", which was of the same structure as of the Taj Mahal. And one of the reasons for sealing the basement is that the basement might consist of the various sculptures of the Hindu gods(as claimed by one of the visitors), which is very hard to believe and if it is true then it can be concluded that the Taj Mahal was a Hindu temple!

2- The researchers said that the rooms of this basement are made up of marble, which can be converted into the dust of calcium carbonate in the excess presence of carbon dioxide gas and as a result, the whole Taj Mahal will vanish into the dust, (as the base will be finished).

3- The third reason can be considered as the main reason for this mystery. This reason says that the Indian government knows about the presence of the sculptures of Hindu gods in the basement and the government doesn't want to reveal this in public because it can lead to the "RELIGIOUS CONFLICTS" between Hindus and Muslims which will be highly dangerous. So it is better to remain conceal this mystery from the public as it can hurt the beliefs of various peoples.
